Part 1: Scientists To The Rescue
For years, the NutraCollagen® team had been looking for ways to improve and differentiate our products from the rest. Because of our strong belief in providing natural, high quality, products we first made sure that the collagen we were putting in our products was as clean as possible. This means it would have to be natural, grass fed, non-gmo, and hormone free. We succeeded at meeting this goal relatively quick. However, we still felt that there was something more that we could do. We wanted to create the perfect collagen product. A few weeks went by and nothing. Just when we were about to give up, our CEO and lead scientist came up with idea to used instantized collagen. It would solve two of the most common complaints we still heard about collagen: the taste and the protein’s occasional tendency to clump.
Part 2: The Process
Instantizing technology works by agglomerating the collagen after it has been hydrolyzed. In “ordinary people” language, this means all of the fine collagen peptides are connected together with tiny particles of water. These tiny particles of water work as bridges that your drink can use to flow from collagen peptide to collagen peptide. Think of it as a “fast-track” road map for your beverage. So when you pour our collagen in, instead of the water having to force its way in (and this is usually done by your stirring), it immediately starts mixing with the product.
